I am technical staff at Northwestern University's Multimedia Learning Center (MMLC), where I have worked for a decade. I have a background in filmmaking and metadata and wear many hats. I work with faculty to both incorporate technology themselves, and also to develop activities for their students to do without sacrificing pedagogy. I teach students how to shoot and edit, and also manage a lab which offers both facilities to create media but also equipment that our supported classes can use. I also shoot and create media for use in classes. Prior to my time at the MMLC, I was part of the photo-acquisition team and lead metadata specialist for the Mellon International Dunhuang Archive (MIDA), photographing Buddhist Cave Art, creating QTVRs and CADS for ARTstor.
